Mori Point is a 110-acre park located in Pacifica, California that is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The park offers several hiking trails, ranging from easy to steep and challenging, including the Timigtac Trail, Mori Ridge Trail, Mori Bluff Trail, Peak Trail, Lishumsha Trail, California Coastal Trail, and Upper Mori Road Trail.
One of the most popular trails in the park is the Mori Point Loop
Trail. This 2.6-mile loop trail near Pacifica is generally considered a
moderately challenging route and takes an average of 1 hour and 9
minutes to complete. The trail offers beautiful views of the Pacific
Coast and is open year-round.
If you're looking for a longer hike, consider extending your hike north
of Mori Point to Pacifica pier or connect to the Sweeney Ridge trail to
hike the hills above Pacifica.
Mori Point is a great place to enjoy a sunset, scan the waters for whale
spouts, or simply enjoy the waves of the Pacific Coast washing up onto
the shores. Remember to check out the ridgeline trail too, where you
can see all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day.
If you're planning on hiking at Mori Point, it's important to note that
some areas are steep and made of gravel. Stay safe by wearing grippy
shoes and watching your footing.
